Just wondering if anyone has any experience of (or knows of any resources around) describing the structure of the underlying databases in TFS – especially around the work items?
I would discourage binding directly to the database schema.. you would be much better off using the web service API or the existing reports (which you can export, customize and reimport in the methodology). As for talking to the web services take a look at these CodePlex projects: http://www.codeplex.com/tfsworkitemexplorer -- A drill-down explorer for WorkItems http://www.codeplex.com/wom -- WorkItem Object Model And finally: http://bhal.pbwiki.com/ -- workflow for TFS has some interesting wrapper code -- "I am Dyslexic of Borg. Resistors are fertile. Prepare to have your ass laminated." -- Dan Nitschke Marc C.
