I've used Tortiose SVN (at both ends) over the internet. Its as slow as you would expect. The hardware I was using included a hosted SQL2000 server instance with about a zillion databases on it. The bottleneck will not be the the connection at 512K - more likely it will be the hosted instance. At 256K the speed is 50% slower but still OK for telecommuting. Should TFS be any different?
