I've been using DEPLOYMENT PROJECTS for our ASP.NET website. Team build compiles and deploys to a drop folder which i then unzip on the appropriate (externally hosted) server (eg. prod, etc) or for the internally hosted servers, it's already copied across. we also have a pre-req's executable file. this handles all webserver prerequists, such as custom perfmon stuff, msmq (when this was used, but it's now been removed as we don't require that, etc), 3rd party open source stuff, etc.. The team build just compiles this but does nothing with it. i'm not sure if this is helping answer the question, or if i understand the question correctly? -J-

We've been having some problems with the two current solutions from MS: 1. Visual Studio Setup & Deployment projects a. Not supported by MSBuild. You have to do the <Exec> hack and cross your fingers. 2. WiX projects a. No GUI, Documentation & samples are thin.
