Let me second what David has said about the 2631 course. I have been
asked to deliver this course numerous times and on each occasion I have
said no. It is not that I can't deliver it, it's just that on every
occasion it was basically selected because it was the only MS course
that had anything to do with VSTS.

I have delivered the level 300 Deep Dive training that Pieter mentioned
in his reply earlier on several occasions for the Microsoft Readiness
Program and for a few customers as an onsite event and feedback has
generally been really positive. This would probably be the best event
for you. I will also qualify this by saying that I haven't looked at the
course that Greg recommended so I can't say which one might be better
for you.

As far as training goes, I have basically had to develop my own material
in many cases and spent the day today delivering a one day event on
Application Lifecycle Management using VSTS. (Nothing like 2631).
Tomorrow's course is a one day hands-on event on all the differences
between VSTS2005 and VSTS2008. Gotta love 2008 J

Cheers

Hi David,

I've done the "Optimizing the Software Development Lifecycle with
Microsoft Visual Studio Team System" Microsoft Course 2631 that you have
been trying to do. I don't think that is what you are after. That
course is all about using the team features of Visual Studio. It
happens to connect to TFS at the back end, but that isn't the focus of
the course. All the time is spent looking at and working in the various
team editions Visual Studio. Little or no time looks specifically at
the TFS side of things. It is not really a TFS course.

Subject: [OzTFS] Anyone know of good TFS Training Courses?

Can anyone recommend a good TFS training course to attend?

I need one that will cover TFS usage and customisation, workflows,
tasks, build server, etc.

I've tried getting on the "Optimizing the Software Development Lifecycle
with Microsoft Visual Studio Team System" Microsoft Course 2631 (tried 5
times so far) but it keeps getting cancelled due to lack of interest.

If anyone is aware of other courses I'd be keen to hear from you.

Cheers,

David Prior
