Hi all,

I work with Nic and we've worked it out. While troubleshooting a
separate issue I noticed a bunch of issues with the event subscriptions
and IIS throwing 400 bad request errors in the event log. Since we
renamed the IIS site to a fully qualified domain, the old server name in
the TfsIntegration..tbl_subscription table was wrong and needed to be
updated. Once that was done, the Areas and Iterations were updated on
the next refresh.

Cheers!

William,

On all PC's you can see the correct areas an iterations from the project
(right click) menu, but in work items the correct options are not in the
drop downs.

Nic.

Nic,

On an affected machine if you go to Team Project Settings->Areas and
Iterations... do they see the correct or incorrect values? Or is it just
the work item form that is affected?

William

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have tried both of those...

Nic,

That information is cached on the client, have you tried closing all
open work item forms, right-clicking the server in Team Explorer and
choosing Refresh?

Subject: [OzTFS] TFS08: Areas & Iterations not appearing

I'm having an issue where I create a new project and immediately set up
some areas and rename the default 3 iterations, but when I edit a work
item, the area drop down list contains only the project name (no sub
areas) and the iteration drop down contains 3 iterations, but using the
default names. I've found some other posts about this elsewhere, but no
satisfactory solution.

New TFS08 install. Happens on all clients and web clients. Restarted
client. Restarted TFS. Refreshed client cache (deleted files).
Invoked "run" for https://tfs08
/Warehouse/v1.0/WarehouseController.asmx.

One post elsewhere suggested removing a constraint from the TFS db that
prevents duplicate names, and apart from not having the guts to screw
with a constraint, this is a fresh TFS install and there are no other
Areas that could be conflicting.

Any suggestions appreciated.
