Hi Daniel,
I have seen this before and it was due to the IDE having trouble parsing attributes in the source files. It appears to get itself into a loop, consumes a lot of memory and then finally crashes. Check the source files for any compilation problems - hard to do I know when you can't load the project!! In my case it was as simple as leaving a trailing " off. My problem only appeared to happen in attributes defined at the class level, the compiler handling errors elsewhere. I'm not sure if this is the problem that you're experiencing, but it might be worth a look. However I am having a problem with memory consumption, CPU usage and IDE stability. In one of our solutions we have approximately 3000 unit tests across 10 Test Projects, when I load the solution and open the Test View window CPU usage for the IDE process goes to about 75% and memory usage ~750Mb ( Still about 1GB free), after about 1 minute the IDE crashes. Has anybody had a similar experience or know where I could begin to start looking to find a solution to this problem?
