Steve, Not sure if you can do what you have said below. However, the way that I have got round this problem in the past is to move the version.cs file out of the folder which is being monitored for CI builds then I use the feature of Visual Studio "add file as a link" to add that file to the project.

When our nightly build runs, we update the version number, and during this process we also checkout the main app's version.cs file to update the version numbers and check it back in again. This checkin from our nightly build causes a checkin build to run, which we don't want to happen. How can I prevent this from happening? - Can we disable checkin builds form happening during set times, Ie 12am to 6am. - Could we tell CI builds to ignore checkins from a particular account? (ie, the build service account) - Set the version.cs file as permanently ignore for sparking a checkin build? Any other ideas welcome. Cheers!
