I did a test with a manual checkin with that comment and it worked a treat.
Integrating it into nightly build now... Thanks team!

Subject: RE: [OzTFS] Versioning causes CI build

Steven,

Buck discusses this here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/buckh/archive/2007/07/27/tfs-2008-how-to-check-in-without-triggering-a-build-when-using-continuous-integration.aspx

Basically, if the comment contains ***NO_CI*** then a build won’t be initiated.

Cheers,
William

Subject: [OzTFS] Versioning causes CI build

Hi folks,
So we have a nightly build and a check in build.
When our nightly build runs, we update the version number, and during this
process we also checkout the main app's version.cs file to update the version
numbers and check it back in again.

This checkin from our nightly build causes a checkin build to run, which we
don't want to happen.
How can I prevent this from happening?

- Can we disable checkin builds form happening during set times, Ie 12am to 6am.
- Could we tell CI builds to ignore checkins from a particular account? (ie,
the build service account)
- Set the version.cs file as permanently ignore for sparking a checkin build?

Any other ideas welcome.
Cheers! Steve
