At this time, the best approach would be to create Windows groups that contain your various users. Then use those Windows groups in your permissions in TFS, SharePoint, and SQL Reporting Services. Then you would be able to affect all three by simply adding and removing users to the Windows groups.

Policy will override all other permissions in the sites, so if you create a policy for that TFS Administrator group, it will give anyone in that group clobber access to all sites. We have a separate Sharepoint server from our TFS08 install. When a Team Project is created, the Sharepoint site (/sites/Project Name) is also created. We are having a security problem I'm hoping someone else has faced. The permissions on the Sharepoint site are set based on the user that created it. So, for example, if I create a Team Project called SampleProject, the portal (/sites/SampleProject) will only have my user ID as the administrator. Now, if we need to add users / administer the portal, only I can do it, not anyone from the TFS Administrator group (it's an AD group). What I would like to do is create the project portal with the TFS Administrators group as the owner, but can't find any way to do this? Or, alternatively, allow all /sites/* sites to be administered by the TFS Administrators group, but again, can't manage to do this. Anyone else solved this problem or know how I can resolve? Cheers! ____________________________________ Karl Kopp Technical Director ____________________________________ Next Digital Level 8, 15 William St, Melbourne VIC 3000 Australia p +61 3 8612 6888 f +61 3 8612 6899 [EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> www.nextdigital.com<http://www.nextdigital.com/> ____________________________________ This email and any attachments are intended only for the use of the recipient and may be confidential and/or legally privileged.
