Daniel,

Is this the update you're referring to:

http://blogs.msdn.com/psssql/archive/2008/09/23/reporting-services-windo
ws-service-will-not-start-after-applying-ms08-052.aspx

if so, then I believe there's "two fixes" to it.

Subject: [OzTFS] TFS Reporting Services

Hi All,

We had an automatic update for SQL Server pushed onto our TFS Server
recently ( GDR 3073 ) since then the reporting services service has
failed to start. When we attempt to start the service I get a timeout
error message but not information in the Application event log or the
SQL Server log.

I uninstalled the update with the hope that the problem would be
corrected, but this did not work.

Has anybody else seen this problem or know how I can get around it?

Thanks

Daniel
