Hello all, I totally agree with the idea that text in our world has evolved to include many types of media. I would like to read the book about redefining reading. (I am sorry, I deleted the title.) I am writing this during SSR. I prefer to read the headlines on the computer rather than my hometown newspaper, etc.
However, does the author of the book give any ideas about accountability? I assume learning, but unfortunately, my supervisers don't. How do I include computers and other print into my workshops? My kids read nearly everyday independently and can write responses, but is that really enough for a computer article? Any ideas? -- Kimberlee Hannan Language Arts Department Chair Sequoia Middle School Fresno Unified School District _______________________________________________ The Literacy Workshop ListServ http://www.literacyworkshop.org To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/lit_literacyworkshop.org.
