>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 1/5/2007 5:30:44 AM >>> As we head into the period of the year when the winter blues threaten, I thought we might take a moment to remind ourselves of what's been going well in our courses, and maybe catch some good ideas along the way. So what are some of the moments of pride you've had during this school year which you'd be willing to share with us?
Bill Ivey I'm proud of my students for trying new ways to write an introductory paragraph. I found some good teaching ideas on the website by Steve Peha "Teaching That Makes Sense, Inc. (www.ttms.org). Steve has compiled a list and short model of 35 different types of introductory styles. I have gotten some great "Aha!" moments from my kids when they experiment and try writing in a different way.
