For me: I got a thumbs-up on my retake portion of my National Boards and
now
am a "NBCT." And for my students: the fact that some actually enjoy
reading time when they shied away from the class library bookshelves in
the
Fall. "some" is not good enough for me, but it's a start.

Ginny,
Congratulations on becoming a NBCT! I think you really savor that moment
when you click on the website and see, "Congratulations..."
I was told by one of my mentors, Nancy Flanagan, to think about buying a
NBCT pin (they only cost around $10 and you can purchase them from the
NB organization.) I only wore it occasionally when I needed a boost
emotionally/professionally; now the kids notice if I don't wear it every
day.
Think about buying that pin so you can show off those 4 letters after
your name with pride; you deserve it!
