We made a recommendation wall last year. When the kids read a fantastic book, they would take a 5x8 card and folded it it in half like a book. We looked at the one line reviews that are on the outside of books. They wrote a one or two line review inside the card. Put the title, author, and an illustration on the outside. The illustration had to be different than the cover. We hung them on a board above the bookshelf next to a sign-up list for our most popular books. Kids did use them to help find a new book.
