I use a variation of the interactive notebook. I have my kids use a binder since it seems to fit better with my chaotic approach to education. I am wondering if I could include a section ---we divide the binder up into sections via dividers ...I have one section that is generally journals. I am thinking of changing that to free writes/ journals, and then I would like to add the "living books" section to focus of the literature and books the kids read. We have the common confusion of RJ (response) and LAJ (language arts ) journal . This would clear that up and allow us the freedom to do the varied activities many of you have discussed. Is there a link or a book that discusses this more? Thanks for your help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ty Dartez" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "A list for improving literacy with focus on middle grades." <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 2:10 PM Subject: Re: [LIT] Living Books
