I go along with Jamie; I always require 30 min. a night of reading, take page,numbers, etc., but really focus on the conferencing aspect. I always required one book project a marking period, but the goals were to "sell" the book to others using a communications technique that was new to the child, i.e. Powerpoint, oral interpretation, drama, dance, Publisher, film, etc. Mary
