Thank you for describing your process. I agree, I want the students to be 
taking their reading seriously and personally. I do not want to be working 
with them watching.

How much time daily or weekly do you schedule for SSR? We are assigning book 
reports but find many students (7th grade level) struggle to read outside of 
class. I know I need to incorporate more SSR in class but want to make it 
meaningful and have them accountable, somehow. Let me know if you or anyone 
has any ideas on this.
