I have a group of 4 incredible writers. I would like to provide an
opportunity for them to really explore their writing within our class by not
making them listen to unnecessary mini lessons and activities and allowing
them to work independently...uh...together! (Independent of *me,* but
working on individual pieces within a group that would provide support for
the members.) They would be wonderful peer editors and critics and could run
with this idea. They have been clear about a desire for Creative Writing. A
couple of the kids had completed a short story based on* The Mysteries of
Harris Burdick* writing piece last year and begged to do more. Any ideas on
creating an independent creative writing group?
