LittleSnitch 1.1 rc5 runs nicely on my machine with OS X 10.3.1 and successfully identifies any app trying connect to the internet. So I was happy to pay USD 25 for it.
However, I heard rumors about certain applications being able to circumvent Little Snitch, for example CodeTek VirtualDesktop (which I don't use and don't need).
I am just wondering if there is a way for processes to bypass LS, making my payment for LS virtually useless.
Are there any apps doing so, and if, would this problem be addressed by LS developers?
Are there any "secret agreements" between LS developers and software vendors? (Of course you would not tell me because that'll be secret, would you?)
Please don't get me wrong: I do not intend to break up any licensing mechanism. I'm used to buying software and I usually gladly allow apps to "phone" if they tell me about their intention and what *exaclty* they're about to send.
Thanks Sven
