I'm pretty sure LS stores not just the name of the application, but also a hash 
of the application.  In this way even upgrades to the application require that 
they be re-authorized.  Note that this is a guess, I don't think I've seen this 
specifically stated anywhere.

Also note that this doesn't mean LS will notice if an app has been replaced 
with a trojan.  You yourself will have to remember that you've already 
authorized an app and it hasn't been upgraded since.

LS is a good aid, but not ironclad.  Security will always rely heavily on the 
user.
