I've cut a new Virtual Machine release over the weeked. Virtual Machine
and logs are now ready for download at:
http://download.osgeo.org/livedvd/
The background story:
I've been unsucessful getting Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10 working with Vmware
Server 2.*, despite trying a number of different combinations. So I've
reverted to using VMware Player, then compressing the image using the
tools bundled with Vmware Server.
I've been updating the Build proess wiki with the lessons I've been
learning along the way.
The guys at Click2try haven't managed to get us a base Xubuntu 9.10 VM
to work with, but I'm told they are still trying.
I've made a few tweaks to build scripts, fixed and closed out a few issues.
Now is the right time to make decisions re:
* Layout of the desktop (the icons are getting crowded)
* What we want to the documentation to look like. (Consistancy between
projects would be good)
* Overall look and feel
Feedback, or volunteers welcome.
