Deanna, Thanks for the reply. So I need to use two different sinks which can receive audio and video.
My plan is to record the camera for 24hrs. so I want to keep the raw data in 1/2 sec file chunks. Is it possible to have the raw audio and video data in 1 single file. Is there any sink which you can suggest me to use. When using the library, you will have 2 sinks, 1 for each stream, and each will receive a consecutive set of frames. Unless you save BOTH of these to a matroska or mp4 (or similar) file then you won't get audio. If you just use the H264VideoFileSink then you'll get just H.264 and no audio. Also check that the audio is encoded in s method that live and VLC support. -- Deanna Earley -------- Original message -------- From: "Kalkere, Giridhara" Date:06/01/2015 04:56 (GMT+00:00) To: "[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>" Subject: [Live-devel] recording audio and video streams Dear Ross, I am using Live555 Media library to record an IP camera which has both video and audio streams. After recording a chunk if I try to play it in the VLC player it shows only one stream available in the codec information section. Can you please suggest what might have went wrong here. Why I cannot able to see both streams. Thanks and Regards, Giri
