Two people were arrested in the St. Michel district yesterday after Montreal police found explosives in their car. Constable Olivier Lapointe said police were acting on a tip when they stopped the car in a shopping centre parking lot. Several buildings near the intersection of Jean Talon St. E. and Pie IX Blvd. were evacuated as a precaution late yesterday morning.
