I for one have enjoyed and learned much from both lists.
I remember in my youth that most bars had signs that said, "No discussions of
Politics or Religion". There were, and are, good reasons. If you feel that
you must post something that is off subject, might I suggest that you include
the words "off subject", in the subject line, and, in the body, direct the
reader to a web site or list where it is "on subject". Those that don't wish
to read it can act accordingly.
Stephan was given a lot of respect, and his decisions were accepted, because
of his tremendous contribution to the list. Vern deserves no less.
