Because my primary computer is a Mac laptop, I went for Elgato EyeTV 250 Plus. I bought it primarily for converting old VHS to files, and playing video game, eliminating the need for a TV or monitor on my boat.

It does support both over-the-air analog and digital HD. I did not bother to check out this feature because there is nothing worth watching.

Note it does not come with an external antenna.

Happy New Year!

Mine is also a USB device. I was not aware that it needed to "work with" any other other particular hardware, but I have been wrong before. There were two or three brands in stock both at Best Buy and Circuit City in Savannah for between $120 and $150 as I recall. It's the cheapest HDTV in town.

Phil,
The X800 XT ATI All-In-Wonder card is NOT an HD
TV card. It is a regular (NTSC) analog TV card. My
query is related to a possible future addition of
an ATI TV Wonder 650 PCI card to watch
"Over-the-air-free" HDTV.
I am currently (I mean right NOW) using an old
AIW 9000 Pro card but my research indicates there
is NO HDTV card that will work with it. Therefore
my question.
I am happy you are getting good results with your
system, and look forward to reading which card(s)
you are using.

Thank you for your reply.
