Alan:

That's a clever use for a combiner, but I'm just curious about why you
wouldn't want your refrigerator to continue to run off the batteries or the
inverter, even while the batteries aren't getting a charge.  It seems to me
that that's what the house bank is there for.  Also, wouldn't your method
involve a major risk of the beer getting warm?  YIKES!!!!!!!
