Replacement for "Chem Tabs" water treatment?

What are people using (if anything) to treat their fresh water tanks?

Thanks in advance,

Ken Pearce

Ken,

I have used chlorine bleach in my water tanks for 30 yrs. It does not take
much and I cannot recall the exact amt and that info is on the boat!! It is
something on the order of less than a cup of bleach to 125 gallons.

Norm is correct in that over time the chlorine dissipates. We drink the water
from our tanks and have an undersink filter. Off the shelf from Sears. Works
great.

This is our experience.
