The waves fall down and cook the food. So you will be cooking the counter. It 
only works upside-down in Tierra del Fuego, the Antarctic, and Australia.

upside down, so that the door will open without scraping on the counter top.
   
  Yes, the control panel will be upside down, but surely the control panel has 
been inserted into the housing and 'might' be able to be turned around.
   
  Why would it NOT work?
