Well, mine has no display and no clock,
has dials for the settings and a turn-table,
got it cheap fro Wal-Mart and it is not using any
juice when it is not running.
It is a small size too.

Subject: Re: [Liveaboard] Left handed microwave?

My vents, fans, etc. are on the side, and the one at work is on the bottom.
The top looks like the bottom, on the inside, and is smooth on the outside.
Not all models have a turntable, particularly the lower wattage models that
might be better on a boat.

Can it be suspended upside down, rather than new feet, on the counter?

    Sorry.....
Even if you could deal with the upside down controls, the exhaust for the
microwave is in the top...ever notice the holes in the top/ceiling? Spills
and over boiling would end up in the fan...electrical shorting and ejection
of liquids out the exhaust come to mind. :>)
Unfortunately, I have the same problem and will have to live with an
awkward
opening door and limited space...but..hey..I have a microwave oven on the
    boat!
