Another trick I've learned along the way when epoxying heavy objects to 
a vertical or overhead surface where due to the weight of the object, 
it'll fall off if you don't secure it temporarily is to take a spot or 
three of hot glue at the ends and maybe in the middle.  The hot glue 
adheres quickly albeit not the strongest bond.  It will hold the object 
in place until the epoxy sets up however.
