Rick,
The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Voting Act of 1986, along with the Help
America Vote Act of 2002 should solve your problem of voting. I see you are
domiciled in Nevada. The Nevada site for voting information is as follows:
http://www.mynevadacounty.com/LivRegister/index.cfm
The following pdf document should allow you to vote while overseas:
https://docs.co.nevada.ca.us/dsweb/Get/Document-203230/
Good luck and vote wisely!

Janet,
We selected Nevada as our home because of the tax situation (no state
income tax) _and_ because we figured that when the time came to "swallow
the hook" we'd like to be in the desert; an ocean of sorts. At one time
we had an address in Blue Diamond (our hailing port) but the mail
forwarding is in Las Vegas so that is what we use. Will we settle in Las
Vegas itself? Probably not but a smaller town in the general area is
likely. So far, we've done everything we have found that we can do and
"no dice" as far as voting. I guess we missed something but have no idea
what it is since we have heard of others who "land cruise" and are able
to vote in national elections but not local.
