Info is at http://gamelectronicsinc.com/ssb.htm quite interesting, web site
does not list the price.
I have been using with great success a large alligator clip on to a chainplate
bolt. My mast and rigging were not bonded. Downside: I don't know if any of
the bottoms of the other rigging are energized, so I need to keep people away
from all rigging while transmitting. The counterpoise of my antenna
("ground") is the lifeline system.

Don't know if this is what you refer to or not. Antenna attaches to backstay
without need to cut backstay and insert insulators.

Sometime ago someone posted a real simple way to attach the antenna lead to
  the back stay.

  I'd appreciate revisiting the advice.

  Thanks in advance,
  Rit
