I think the price is around $375.  I also read in "Living Aboard" that you can 
simply use an insulated wire that is supported by the backstay.  I suppose that 
it would make sense to use standoffs.  Also, it would be best to use wire rated 
for UV exposure.

quite interesting, web site does not list the price.
I have been using with great success a large 
alligator clip on to a chainplate bolt.  My mast and rigging were not 
bonded.  Downside:  I don't know if any of the bottoms of the other 
rigging are energized, so I need to keep people away from all rigging while 
transmitting.   The counterpoise of my antenna ("ground") is the 
lifeline system.

Don't  know if this is what you refer to or not.  Antenna attaches to backstay  
without need to cut backstay and insert insulators.
