At a marina in Brunswick GA, the jelly fish are so numerous that they 
are getting into the A/C intakes and clogging up things.  The 
enterprising sailors there have taken colanders and tied two lines to 
them, one they run under the boat and tie to a cleat, the other they tie 
to a cleat on the other side, making sure the colander is covering the 
inlet.  It take a lot more weed to plug all the holes on a colander and 
hopefully when suction is removed, the weeds will drop or be flushed off.
