Sue and I recently bought a manual washer and an electric spin "drier"
for our boat Angel Louise. As live-aboard cruisers we wanted to ease
some of our washday hassles of having to go to shore so often.
Sue really likes them a lot, and we just wanted to pass on the info
for others who may be looking for a laundry solution - if you do not
currently have a washer or drying equipment on board. The drier
spins so much water out you can dry it quickly hanging on the lifelines!
The washer is sold by Lehmans in their catalog online. It was approx
$48.
It is pictured (I shrunk the url) and is described fully here:

We have not used the wash machine yet.
We did try the spinner it really wrings the water out. There are two
sizes, but got the larger.
It runs on 110 volts. You only need to run it about 3 minutes to
spin all the water
out. It spins at 3200 RPM. Sue did one commercial washer load
ashore when she went
showered yesterday and brought the load back to dry onboard. It had
spun well in the
commercial washing machine and Sue thought no water was left in the
load. We were very
impressed by spinning out 1 full quart of water and it dried rapidly
hanging
later. It is $134.95 and a picture and description is here:

Hope this is of interest to others on the group and may help someone.
