> It's insane to sleep on a boat with JUST AN ANCHOR LITE! an anchor lite > looks like a star. Blends right in. > personally, I never felt anchor lights should be white. Maybe yellow?? > but they are not.
firststarled.com offers an anchor light that as a no charge option uses "warm white" leds so it looks very yellow (just like an old fashioned incandescent bulb)when compared to the silvery white light from most white light leds. Yellow is reserved for towing. About the only color left not used for other nav lights or police ect is purple. <G> That would be cool, I guess! Myself, I hang my anchor light from the forestay 8-10 feet up most times. Running extra lighting is not really needed if you do that. Unless you are anchored in Back Creek, Annapolis MD, just when the boaters are returning from watching Fourth of July fireworks, then you need all the lights you can get! -Ken _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
