thank you all for the lecture on stuff I already knew..

I was interested in who had leds on top of the mast.. (will that definition
work for the majority)
and if you did what brand, how bright and what did it cost.. (not a major
factor, but was curious)

OGM seems to be the consensus
it works great, low draw and can be see the requisite 2 miles
cost is not a factor

I don't have to change it out now.. but if I come across a deal I will go
for it..

thanks so much..

I already have aquired my steaming light replacement.. its a light and a
deck light combo from waste marine
with a gift card, on sale and a rebate..
http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/10001/12589/377%20710%201604/0/Exterior%20/Primary%20Search/mode%20matchallpartial/10/0?N=377%20710%201604&Ne=0&Ntt=Exterior%20&Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&page=CategoryDisplayLevel1&isLTokenURL=true&storeNum=5002&subdeptNum=9&classNum=236

I will use the old steaming light cover for the stern light and thus keeping
the original flavor of the boat..

The deck lights on the spreaders were orginally tractor lights..that came
from the factory.. I will probably replace them at a later date
with leds maybe.. we shall see.. its not a huge priority at the moment.

I, in truth, don't have to replace the anchor light as it works fine..but it
is an incadescent bulb and eventually I want to go as low draw lights as
possible. Interior lights are my first priority in that line.

thanks again... back to being bored..

It's not about the boat it's sails or rigging. It's about the freedom.

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical
minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd
by the clean end.
