Maybe Ken will come up with a REAL solar powered anchor light, like the garden
lights but that will do the job for real..
I too, like the forestay location, the same location the big ships use, but
when I built my wheelhouse I had to move the anchor light from the bow (where I
had a pocket cut out of my aluminum anchor daymarker to hold the Davis light)
to a mast on the wheelhouse.

Those little DAVIS lights with the Light detecting diode make it
easy to have two, and just leave one up on the boom (or my
preference - on the line to the front furler) all the time at anchor
and let it go on and off with the sunset and sunrise automatically.
