Hi from Ed & Sue Kelly on Angel Louise, Right now we are on the web cam at Elizabeth City, NC. Fame has so long escaped me!
We are the first boat. Was about 69 degrees all afternoon but now it has dropped and gotten colder all at once. Brrrr... down to 59. http://www.ecncweather.com/harborcam.php We will drive our friend Norm Kulow to the train so he can get to the airport in DC for his flight on the 30th back to Iowa. We love Elizabeth City. They have now put in WiFi for cruisers since this spring. The town seeks out and welcomes cruisers and offers rides to grocery stores, and help. They give a rose to women cruisers and also host a wine and cheese party for new cruisers coming into the free dock they maintain. They have space for 15 boats and offer 48 hour free docking at the alternate route south, near the southern end of the Dismal Swamp Canal, just north of the Albermarle Sound. The mayor personally comes to dock to make sure everything is nice in this place that is truly a HARBOR OF HOSPITALITY! What a wonderful town. We love it here. We will go south in a day or two, but for now we feel at home. Hope your day is a nice one.
