Its a slow news day...the original whiner, it is to be noted has never commented
again and his email shows he posted from Denmark..

It is hard for me to comment from an objective standpoint since MY son
is currently depployed for the 6th year in a row to the Middle East.
Please to remember that those who serve currently also do so voluntarily.

I support Fisher House because I Have benefited from it...
I support the Special Warrier Foundation because it benefits children of Fallen
Special Forces personnel no matter thier branch of service.. emphasis on
children and education... not politics.. the same with fisher house..
a place to
stay for our families of those who are wounded or hurt..

I believe that giving another liberty is the best and fastest way to freedom...

My son believes totally in what he does.. does he follow blindly,
hardly... he is a
registered Libertarian... if that means anything..

He told me something in 2005... during the elections... that the
people, especially women..
proudly showed Americans thier inked finger and thanked them for the
right to be able to vote..
Ya know... it made me think about a lot of things..

We boaters have the last bastion of true freedom ... we can get on our
boats, just up and leave..
without so much as a by your leave...we don't have to ask permission,
we don't have to tell anyone we are sailing down
to norfolk from Baltimore.. we just leave our slip, raise our sails
and go... that is Freedom.. and its brought to us
on the backs of our ancestors who gave thier lives to see to it that
we have a nation that gives us that freedom..

Finally for those who do not support the military... take the time to
go back and look at just WHO is risking thier lives to
jump in the water to help those in need after Katrina.. that's right
our USCG PJ's... and AF pararescue jumpers.. as well..
it was 82nd airborne out of fort bragg and national gaurd who came to
help.... CITIZEN SOLDIERS..

It's not about the boat it's sails or rigging. It's about the freedom.

"We are the gaurdians of a great faith. When we believe that freedom
offers the best chance of peace and prosperity for all, and our desire
for peace cannot be seperated from our believe in liberty." Harry S.
Truman

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional,
illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream
media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible
to pick up a turd by the clean end.
