I did not mean to imply that Danes are fat and Americans were not.
I read an article about nutrition and it stated that the Danes had the
highest incidence of heart disease while the folks on a certain northern
Japanese island, followed by the Greeks, had the lowest. They claimed that
diet had the biggest influence. The Japs and the Greeks ate very little
meat, plus the Greeks ate lots of bread, wine and olive oil which the
article implied was a key factor.
I have long admired Europeans for their multi-lingual abilities.
