Subject: [Liveaboard] Thanks and a additional question

Dear List

Thank you for all your help, very good counsel. We have one additional
question. The old alternator had a capacitor wired to the positive post of
the alternator, presumably to "excite" the alternator. In replacing the
alternator should I wire in this capacitor in again or does a new alternator
not need one. In the wiring diagrams of the new alternator it does not show
a capacitor. Thanks ahead for all the help
