Rick, Rick,

There you go tellin all those Yankees abt how good we have it down here on the Gulf. Soon they will descend on the Gulf and ruin it for all of us. :-)
Now for the rest of the story. Are you,Yankees sure that you want to, and up to enduring our heat, humidity and mosquitoes?
How abt our alligators. There was an article in todays paper about how FAST they are growing, one foot per year in the wild. Up to 5 ft in captivity in 2 yrs and then released into the wild!!! ( By law.)
I had an 11 foot full grown beauty on my dock,at my home, last year.--See a picture on my web page. The nuisance alligator hunter for our parish lives just down the bayou from me came and took him out. Before the gator could feast on someones dog or cat!!!
Lets see what else, oh yes, tugs and tows lots and lots of them. Oh, I forgot, us Gulf Coasters actually prefer to operate among them than
many of the pleasure boat( yachty types).

Rick,

For reference purposes, those fees are cheap - very cheap. $30 a head
Liveaboard fee is also very low unless there are a mess of kids aboard.

True, but that's what were used to on this side of the gulf :-)

Let's see if I can remember on some of the fees.

The "expensive" Port Isabel ones were $435 a month, probably plus
electricity. Based on our 49' LOA.

The one we settled on was at Port Lavaca. $3 a foot, based on slip
size. $4 a foot extra if you stick out of the slip. So $150 for us in
a 50 foot slip, plus $15 electricity and the $30 a head liveaboard.

Rick
