Then why is there an extra line between 'pink' and 'elephants'?

I suspect that you just responded to a post that was in html and your
email program automatically switched into html and added the
formatting without your noticing. I wasn't blaming you so much as
trying to give you a heads up so that you would be aware of what you
were doing.

I do not get the Digest, but your long post came through with part of
the Digest attached (see below)

Why is there a space between 'lines' and 'you'?

My initial post where I complained about the garbage in your post and
3 others had 168 lines, of which I wrote 4 and there were two spacer
lines.

The rest of it was stuff (printed exactly as I got it - unquoted) like

which came from YOUR post and which I did NOT write. You certainly
did NOT do as this brief segment advises and trip the extra stuff out
- this is just a small section of what I got from you.

This post of yours which actually should have about 20 lines in it and
my post following (another 13 lines when I sent it) comes out with
168 lines in my email due to lots and lots of extra spaces.

At least this post appears to be in plain text (albeit quite strung
out) and does not have all the extra formatting and html stuff in it.
