and lobbied heavily by the companies that make Ethanol gasoline.. to get the EPA When it was realized the problems it would cause early one.. the Feds and the gas companies just ignored the damage as a collateral incidence.. the early docs do admit that Ethanol has an affinity to seperate create water.. the problems started early in the game.. older cars also have a problem with ethanol.
I am not at all sure that all states use Ethanol.. I know two yrs ago when I bought this boat florida was not using ethanol and maryland was.. is its use voluntary or required.. the company's that make it also are well aware its is more expensive to make and invades the worlds food supplies.. So who wins.. it is not the consumer.. I think, emphasis on think, that I read somewhere that it also creates more polluton than regalar gasoline.. perhaps not.. but the bottom line is that It will eat up my boat.. and that is a huge deal for me and others with older boats whose tanks are integral to thier boats..
