I use Kroil as you did. I cannot see it as a lubricant. Kroil makes several products; are you sure that it isn't a different product from them? For a chain, I would use motorcycle chain lubricant, or Endura (Autozone) or Break Free or Boeshield T9. The latter two are excellent but may not last as long on the chain. Boeshield's advantage is that it dries leaving a waxy product that does not collect dirt. Both Break Free and Boeshield T-9 are available at Wal-Mart in the gun cleaning department. Army artillery uses Break Free as its single lubricant for the gun itself. Ron Rogers
-----Original Message----- From: Don White I received 2 spray cans of Kroil that I ordered online. I sprayed it on the bimetallic connection that has been giving me a problem, and it freed it up overnight. Question - The literature that came in the package touts it as a lubricant for things like bike chains. Does anyone know if it is a good lasting lubricant, or does it fall into the category with WD40 on that criteria? _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
