I was a licensed bicycle racer not so long ago. I had titanium cogs on my bike, expensive, so I didn't like unnecessary wear. (If the chain wears too much it ruins the cogs fast.) The ONLY lube I would use is White Lightning, still available at good bike stores. It repels dirt and provides a high pressure lube that won't wash off. It also cleans the chain when first applied. But the other thing I did was to replace the chain at the first signs of wear, that is much cheaper than buying new cogs, and makes the shifting work properly. -Ken _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected]
