Lee, FWIW, I've always had the same issues with the round Magma's.  Then 
years ago I switched to the Force 10 log type and never really had any 
issues.  Then I went to the larger log (and actually gave the old one to Sam 
Densler) and never had issues with that either.

This year, with the new boat I popped for the bucks for the Magma Catalina 
and love it - and it hasn't blown out due to winds either. And, surprise, 
surprise, so far with numerous uses this past summer, the piezo igniter 
still works like a charm!  Although I'm sure just by my saying so it will 
crap out the next time I go to the boat and try to use it......
