Any suggestions to help us deal with a badly installed watermaker? After owning this boat for 5 years, we are just getting around to activating the watermaker. This is a Vantage Marine (California) RO system.
Unfortunately it was installed badly, causing several problems. We are able to overcome most of them, but the Leeson raw water feeder/booster pump is a major frustration. Actually the pump is fine, but it was installed above the water line, and it doesn't self-prime. Without the boost pump primed, the water-maker is not operational. Relocating the Leeson boost raw-water pump below the water-line is very difficult. Just getting access to it for removal would require some engine room destruction. So we would like to avoid that route. Any suggestions to deal with this situation? We are brainstorming, and would value your input. Thanks, -Neal. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://liveaboardonline.com/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardonline.com/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
