The problem is that the raw water feeder pump is above the waterline, so it does not prime.
So, I think I will install a check valve directly after the raw water strainer, which is below the water-line. Then I'll plumb in a valve to supply some pressure from my fresh-water system directly after the check-valve. This will provide pressure to force the air bubbles up to the boost pump, to prime the hoses when the pump is activated. This seems like a simple and reliable fix, much easier than moving the pump below the waterline. Do you have any better suggestions? Thanks, -Neal. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://liveaboardonline.com/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardonline.com/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
